Join the Army Aviation Heritage Foundation (AAHF) in commemorating the U.S. Army's 250th birthday with a day full of historic displays, thrilling flyovers, and engaging activities for all ages.
🕘 Schedule of Events:
**8:15 AM – Army Birthday Wreath Laying** Arlington National Cemetery Honor the fallen with a solemn wreath-laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
9:30 AM – 12:30 PM – Army Fitness Competition and Awards Ceremony National Mall Witness soldiers showcase their physical prowess in a spirited fitness competition.
**11:00 AM – 6:00 PM – Army Birthday Festival** National Mall (7th to 12th Streets NW) Explore military equipment displays, enjoy live music, meet Army Soldiers and Astronauts, and participate in interactive activities.
**6:30 PM – 8:00 PM – U.S. Army 250th Birthday Parade** Constitution Avenue NW (23rd Street to 15th Street) Experience a grand parade featuring over 6,000 soldiers in historical and modern uniforms, military vehicles, marching bands, and flyovers of modern and historic aircraft.
9:45 PM – Fireworks Display National Mall Conclude the day's celebrations with a spectacular fireworks show lighting up the D.C. skyline.
🚁 AAHF Participation:
The Army Aviation Heritage Foundation will be prominently featured throughout the day's events:
Static Displays: Get up close with the iconic AH-1 Cobra and UH-1 Huey helicopters, and interact with veteran pilots and crew members who bring these aircraft to life.
Flyovers: Look to the skies during the parade for thrilling flyovers by AAHF's historic helicopters, showcasing the legacy of Army aviation.

Transportation: Due to expected road closures and limited parking, attendees are encouraged to use public transportation. The Smithsonian Metro Station's Mall entrance will be closed; please use the south entrance on Jefferson Drive SW or nearby stations such as L’Enfant Plaza and Federal Triangle.
Security: Security screenings will be in place at all entry points. Please plan to arrive early to ensure timely entry.
